Giorgetti ended this long year of celebrations, which began when it presented the new logo, with a travelling exhibition organised in Giorgetti showrooms and stores in Asia, the United States and Europe. The programme will continue into 2019.
This is Object to Project, an exhibition that on 10 October opened in Mexico City with a premier presentation at the local Giorgetti store, which has become of reference point for Mexican architects, clients and design enthusiasts who love "Made in Italy".
Inside the 400 m2 store, the exhibition featured a photographic display and a book presentation by Francesca Molteni and Cristiana Colli, both organised to reveal the secrets of Giorgetti's signature intelligent manufacturing process and to generate an extraordinary dialogue about the unique nature of interior design, which is capable of interpreting habits, taste and markets.
The photographic show also included the showing of the film titled Object to Project: Giorgetti Design Since 1898, a documentary also directed by Francesca Molteni, that will take viewers on a journey through intelligent manufacturing and the historic Brianza furniture district, the symbol of Giorgetti's know-how.
The next leg of the journey for the travelling exhibition is right here in Milan, just in time for the Milano Design Film Festival scheduled from 25 to 28 October.
During the first evening of the festival, on 25 October, the Anteo cinema will host the showing of the docu-film Object to Project: Giorgetti Design Since 1898 at the same time as the exhibition is being set up.
Afterwards, there will be a dedicated talk, and the book presentation.
In this way, people in Italy will have the chance to see the film and learn about the essential aspects with the book. This is an occasion to take advantage of.
